About Me |
Thanks for taking the time to look at my page. My name is Tyler Hughes and I am originally from Howell, Michigan but currently reside in Jackson, Michigan. Currently, I am a high school social studies teacher at Jackson Preparatory and Early College. I teach U.S and World History using data as a fuel to drive instruction and scaffolding for current students. I am also an assistant for Spring Arbor University men's basketball team.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Spring Arbor University (SAU), were I was part of men's basketball team through the years of 2012-2016. I graduated with my B.A. and been in education since 2016 working for both the public and charter school systems. I completed my graduate studies through Tiffin University (OH) with a Masters in Business Administration with a emphasis on Sports Management. I finished with a 3.7 GPA while being a part of the dean's list multiple semesters. In the summer of 2021, I completed a 200 hour internship working for SAU in the athletic department. The duties included, but not limited too research & development, expansion, and growth. (You can see my projects in the MBA section). I am always staying busy. I have a very small family, my wife, Lindsey, and my dog, Nina. I like to stay active and workout quite often. I am avid video gamer and like to spend time with my family or friends. I serve through my local church and want to invest into the community in Jackson. My future goals are to become an Athletic Director of college or large high school, or a director of a sport centric program or company. https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyler-hughes-2861b81a1/ |
